New to WSRC? Welcome to the Family!

If you’re considering the Wentworth Ski Race Club (WSRC) for your child and have no experience in ski racing — don’t worry! Many of our families were brand new when they joined, and now they can’t imagine winter without WSRC.

We encourage kids ages 6 and up to come give ski racing a try. Our programs are a fun, supportive way to spend time on the hill, develop strong skiing skills, and become part of a welcoming community.

What Makes WSRC Special

• ⛷️ 4(+) hours a day on snow with qualified, passionate coaches.

• 👨‍👩‍👧 Small groups & low coach-to-athlete ratio so every skier gets attention and guidance.

• 🎿 Focus on skill development that builds confident, lifelong skiers.

• 😊 Fun, friendships & family atmosphere — racing is optional, smiles are guaranteed!

Prerequisites

To make sure all athletes are safe and ready to enjoy their time with us, we ask that new skiers:

• Can ski independently down green and blue trails

• Have good listening skills (safety comes first)

Required Gear

• Skis, boots, poles, and a helmet

• Other race gear is optional and only becomes relevant as athletes grow older and their skills advance

Racing – Optional but Fun!

Yes, we are a race club, but racing isn’t mandatory. Some kids love the thrill of the start gate, others just enjoy skiing with friends and building skills. Either way, they’ll benefit from the WSRC experience.
