WSRC Weekend Update

Helly Hansen WSRC Jacket Orders

It’s time to place our next HH order for fall 2023 arrival. 

Race jackets are available in men’s and women’s sizes xs-3xl and youth sizes 6-16. 

If you would like to place an order, please email Craig Bradley with your size and quantities at kaymatrentals@gmail.com. Please send full payment via etransfer to Dave Macdonald at treasurer@wentworthracing.com

• Adult jackets - $379.00 plus hst ($435.85 total)*

• Youth jackets - $284 plus hst ($326.60 total)*

Orders due by Sunday January 29th at 8pm. 

*Additional charges for shipping upon receipt of jackets is possible 

Ad Hoc Training 

Interested in more training opportunities?

Ad hoc training is available weekly:

• Thursday (U12 and Senior Team)
• Fridays (all age groups) 

Registration opens on Monday of that week and closes on Tuesdays at 9:00pm for Thursday training, and Wednesday at 9:00pm for Friday training. 

• $50 per day, per athlete for U10 and older
• $70 per day, per athlete for U8 due to low coach to athlete ratio

Race & Camp Updates

Slingshot Race - Sunday, February 5th for U10 / U12 Athletes
(Still planned to proceed - we will advise if this changes)
A highlight for young athletes and a great opportunity for parents to gain experience supporting the running of a race in a low pressure environment. 

Roland Brunner Training Camp - Wednesday, Feb 8th & Thursday, Feb 9th
Wednesday - GS all day
Thursday - SG all day
Fee - $100

Roland Brunner Cup - Friday, Feb 10th - Sunday, Feb 12th
Volunteers still needed for both food and on hill roles including:

• Course Crew
• Gate Judges
• Hand Timers

Team Atlantic Cup (Postponed) - Previously scheduled for Friday, January 27th for U14 and up

We continue to explore alternative dates based on hill availability and the overall race schedule and will provide an update as soon as one is finalized.

Fundraising Update

New Athlete Sponsorship Opportunity

In order to maintain our quality programming and club offerings, fundraising and sponsorship are key. Athletes can now benefit directly from sponsorships. 

For each new sponsorship an athlete generates, WSRC will provide the athlete with 15% credited back against fees! This will apply to new sponsorship of $500.00 or more.  For more information please contact Jenn Spears at jennifermspears555@gmail.com.

Senior Team Brunch & Learn - Saturday, Jan 28th

9:30AM - 11:00AM at the Cooke Family Cottage
