Crabbe Training Camp Canceled for NS Athletes - New Option Available - Wentworth Ski Race Club

Hello Senior Team Families, 

The implications of the lack of snow continues to challenge the best laid plans. Due to limited lane space, the Crabbe Speed Camp will no longer be able to accommodate athletes from Nova Scotia. 

However, there are two brighter points: 

• Crabbe Speed Races (Feb 3rd - 5th) - Continue to be open to WSRC athletes. The deadline for registration is Friday, January 20th at 6pm. Details can be found here.

• Speed Training Camp Option at MSA (U14, U16, U18) - Team Atlantic is able to move quickly to pull together a speed training opportunity to help ensure athletes have the required training to participate in the Crabbe race. As you can imagine, timing is tight so please take a moment to review the details provided below. 

MSA Speed Training - Monday, January 30th to Wednesday, February 1st

Athletes will participate in three days of speed training and travel back as far as Crabbe so that on Thursday, 10AM - 2PM they can familiarize themselves with the course before the SG race on Friday. 

Costs for the camp are reflective of the demands of a speed camp which requires additional space, fencing and coaches to proceed safely, and lift access during MSA’s high season. 

A minimum of 25 athletes will be required to proceed. The cap will be set at 40 athletes. WSRC athletes will have priority to register until Thursday when it will be open up to athletes from other clubs. 

• $900 for WSRC athletes
• $1,050 for Non-WSRC athletes
