Speed Training Opportunity at MSA

Hello All U14, U16 and U18 Parents,

Team Atlantic & WSRC have developed a Speed Training Event that will take place at Mont Ste Anne this Winter from Monday Feb 14th to Friday Feb 18th. (Four days on-snow will be Feb 15,16,17 & 18).  

This camp will ensure that our athletes have the ability to do 4 days of Speed Training this season at a minimum. If the Crabbe Speed week event is able to proceed with Nova Scotia athletes this winter, then WSRC athletes would be able to get additional days of Speed Training.

We are trying to control what we can, within provincial restrictions, and provide as many solid training opportunities as we can for our Club athletes.

We know many of you have questions regarding the current public health restrictions in NS and abroad and what that means for your athlete’s development and opportunities for training and competing. We are in the process of developing a list of answers to your frequently asked questions - particularly as it relates to race and development opportunities for U14 and older athletes. We are also planning a virtual parent meeting to share what we know, address some common questions we have received, and how are approaching the season to ensure your athletes have the best season possible!  Stay tuned, you should see something included in the next newsletter later this week.

In the meantime,the COVID protocols for this camp are outlined in the Camp description attached.

The Camp is limited to 50 athletes.

We have 10 U16 athletes coming from Craigleith Ski Club in Ontario.

WSRC families will have until Friday, Jan 14th at 10:00 PM to register by sending application and waiver docs attached to Coaching@wentworthracing.com and submitting the fee of $800 to WSRC Treasurer at treasurer@wentworthracing.com to secure one of the remaining 40 spots. 

After Friday, whatever spots are left will be offered to Camp supporters from other Clubs in hopes that we can fill them all.

Chalets Montmorency has put together a rate package for us once again for accomodations.
