Thank you to all the volunteers and athletes who participated in hosting the Slingshot Race last weekend and the Byrne Memorial Race on Thursday!

While spring skiing and warm weather have arrived, and this weekend will mark the end of our ski season, we are thankful for all the wonderful memories we’ve been able to create together.

A few important reminders as the season draws to a close:

Club Champs - March 28, Sunday 

Weather permitting, we’ll be hosting a fun and informal race day with WSRC athletes only on Sunday. Saturday athletes are welcomed to join us on Saturday. 

If you have a one day athlete who plans to come on Sunday to attend Club Champs, please send a message to Christine Baker at registrar@wentworthracing.com so that we can add people to lists for coaches and TeamSnap.

Thanks to the support of RBC, we will also be offering our athletes pizza and juice boxes for lunch in the “Greenhouse” at noon.

Note: Saturday practice will proceed if the hill is operating.

The Winner for our 50/50 Draw will be Announced on Saturday

Super Early Bird Season Passes Now On Sale

Ski Wentworth is already selling season’s passes for next year at a reduced price.
WSRC registration will open for returning athletes on July 15th and new athletes on August 15th. Additional details will follow in the weeks ahead.

Mark Your Calendar for Our AGM

Hold time in your calendar for June 8th at 7pm when we’ll reflect on the year that was and share plans for the year ahead. Details will follow closer to the date.

Level 2 Officials Training Opportunity

As we approach the end of the season it is a great time to plan about the future.  Why not step up and become a part of the race official crew. We would like to have enough certified officials that we can host several races without overburdening any of our volunteers.

Officiating is a fantastic way to become involved in your child’s sport. Be a part of the action and see first hand their abilities. 

A level two course will be offered in the spring, depending on COVID-19 restrictions, either virtually or on a Saturday. The cost is free. The only investment required is your time and effort to attend.  

The prerequisite for the course is to have volunteered in some capacity with a race, such as gate judging, course crewing, or course slipping. If you are interested or have questions, contact Duncan Gillis at duncgill@gmail.com.
