And the Winner Is....Part 1.....

  It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of Chilli !!!! Our all-female crew of contenders pitted their chilli against each others.  What started out with espionage, competitive jousting and intimidation ...

 
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of Chilli !!!!

Our all-female crew of contenders pitted their chilli against each others.  What started out with espionage, competitive jousting and intimidation ended in amicable banter, valuing the diversity of the chilli offerings from Chicago chilli to green chilli with smoked tofu and everything in between and mutual support as the contenders decided they should be serving each others chilli….

In case you haven’t heard or weren’t at Duckys to witness the gloating, oh er, um I mean acceptance speech……Kate Lovett’s Southwestern Turkey Chilli scored a hat trick, winning for the third time in a row (!!!). 

It was a tight race with Christina Healy’s chilli having lost by just one vote.  Just a bit of irony that the votes were counted by none other than our Club Treasurer (Christina’s spouse), Matt Healy.

Following the award ceremony of the golden ladle trophy (there is an actual trophy), Kate announced she is hanging up her ladle and retiring from Chilli Cookoff Competitions. 

Thank you to our cooks and everyone who came out and tried some chilli and voted!!!
