Update to Changes to Registration Process, Fees and Program Offering

Hello – Hope you are enjoying the last half of August….it is hard to believe summer is almost over (!!)
 
This is an update to the June 29^th newsletter regarding WSRC’s registration process for the upcoming season.
 

• Registration is now open to the public.   
• Programs in each age group are capped based on the anticipated number of coaches and the age group-specific coach to athlete ratios.  There is limited space in each age group.  Members are encouraged to register early to ensure a spot.
•  Once a program is full, a wait-list will be initiated.  If there are sufficient numbers on the wait-list and an additional coach can be obtained, wait-listed athletes will be advised that they can register for the program.
•  Program registration and wait lists are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Early bird fees end October 1^st.
• Registration will close on December 1^st.
• Registration will continue to be through Goalline with payment via credit card.  There will be an option to pay upfront or to pay a deposit and then installments as follows:
               
  Early bird fee installment option - initial down payment followed by three equal payments on August 1, September 1  and October 1.  For registrations after August 1, the down payment and 1st installment are due at registration time and then there are 2 equal payments due. 
  
  Regular fee installment option - initial down payment followed by 5 equal payments on August 1, September 1, October 1, November 1 and December 1. For registrations after August 1, the down payment and 1st installment are due at registration time and then there are 2 equal payments due. 
   

 
Other Changes:
 

• Last Spring, to ensure sound fiscal management of club operations, the BoD conducted a financial review of the cost structure of the program, the results of this review include the following:
  • All registrants will receive raffle tickets that they can sell to offset the program fee.
  • A program fee increase; changes to program fees are fully described on the registration webpage:  https://wentworthracing.goalline.ca/register.php?reg_form_id=31401
  • A one season break from the fee for the volunteer program. (not to be confused with a break from volunteering!)
  • After two seasons of offering a 3-day U12+ program option, we are returning to the former model where Friday training is done on ad hoc user pay training day basis – available for sign up until the Tuesday prior to each Friday.

 
Other News:

• Registration is now open for Fall Camps in Mont Ste Anne; see www.wentworthracing.com for details.
• Aerobics First are busy setting up the second floor for the season…boot fitting will be available by appointment in about a week…stay tuned.
• WSRC AGM Monday, September 23rd.
• Save the date:  Level 2 Officials course planned for November, 16^th.
