Hello! It is hard to believe that January is over and we are now into our second month of our program!!
Thank you’s
Thank you to everyone that put their time and efforts out today to volunteer and make the 2019 Slingshot event such a success. A lot of work went on behind the scenes by Kate Lovett, Tim Hilton, Gregor Bryne, Mark Oakley as well as Laura Stiles-Clarke, Race Secretary, and Robyn Doucet, assistant race secretary. Thank you also to Jillian and Shawn Eisner for collecting the bibs, Rob Barbara finish referee, Tim Hilton and Sally Rollings for Race Tabulator and assistant race tabulator, Glen Cameron for mastering the grill, Robyn and Craig Bradley for slinging hot dogs, Janin Wolfe for slinging the condiments, Susan Pretty for juice box & chips distribution, Erica Jones for start refereeing, Lindsay Wilson for wrangling the racers to the start. FINALLY a major shout out to Tara Macaulay and Kim Oakley for working the microphone throughout the event.
If I have missed anyone please email me at duncgill@gmail.com and I will ensure you are added to the list for the end of the year volunteer credits.

A Speed Module is a specialized aspect of coach certification for coaching at speed events, such as the Crabbe Speed Week Camp this week and the SuperG race held at Crabbe today. Coaches Ben Lovett and Lucas Byrne attended the 3-day camp earlier this week unpaid and at their own expense to gain experience to work towards this certification. Kudos guys!!
