New to racing?  Bring your lunch to the Port Greville Room to listen to Brian Carter explain ACA points system, race etiquette and rules and answer all your questions.

1:30-2:30pm  Brunner Volunteer Meeting
If you are interested in volunteering for this U14+ Race Event that attracts 120 racers from throughout Atlantic Canada, please drop by the Port Greville Room

This is shaping up to be our major fundraising event of the year.

Tickets are $15 each & available for sale at the Lift Office
Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.  Bring your friends!

Slingshot               

• Our U8, U10 & U12 athletes are pumped for our race with Martock.
• Bring your cowbells!
• We have the race positions handled but we still have some sign-up spots available for the S’more pit and helping put off the bbq.  Last year we had 6 volunteers and it really helped ensure no big line-ups for lunch pick-up. (ps - you don't need  to pack a lunch for your U8-U12 athletes on Sunday.)
• Saturday-only athletes are welcome to participate.

Weekly 50/50 Draw starts this Sunday at lunch time.

• Tickets for sale 11am-2pm. 
• Draw at 2:30pm. 
• Winner will be posted on the WSRC notice board. 
• We still need a family volunteer for this Sunday to go around the lodge to sell tickets to non-WSRC skiers.  This is a 20 minute activity and will earn you 15 volunteer points.  This is posted on Sign-up genius for each remaining Sunday this season.  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044aa4a728a2f49-volunteers

WSRC in the Community…
As you may have noticed, we purchased new coach jackets this year.
The problem of what to do with the old jackets was solved when CBC’s morning show host Louise who spearheads an initiative called “The Do Crew” did a winter coat & jacket drive for the Halifax Winter Warming Centre who are in need of warm winter coats and jackets.
WSRC dropped off over 20 jackets to this deserving cause (thank you to Maurice Cramm for making the drop!)
 
WSRC in the News...
We are naturally very interested in the promotion of the Sport of Alpine Ski Racing.  Working collaboratively with Andrew Hayes at Ski NS and the media relations staff at Sport NS, we managed to get the Poley results picked up by the media ; both Radio and Newspaper picked up the story.
