Start Earning Your Volunteer Points!
Our Volunteer Program outline can be found on the website under the Parent Page and is as follows:
Volunteering Framework 2017/18
WSRC has enjoyed success for many years; and a great deal of that success can be attributed to parents who volunteer to support their children’s sport. WSRC is a volunteer-run not-for-profit organization so fundraising and volunteering both form integral parts of the Club’s success and to minimizing costs.
WSRC is a parent participation club and as a member you have an important role to play. We have collected, as part of your regsitration fee, a deposit which will refunded at the end the end of the year based on your participation. There are many ways to get involved throughout the season and it is easy to achieve the minimum “participation points” required for your refund.
The Participation Points and deposit are calculated based on the number of skiers you have and the level at which your athletes are skiing. The points and deposit assigned by age group are as follows and were included in your registration fee:
Ski Team
U14-U21: $100 = 100 points
U12: $100=100 points
U10: $25 = 25 points
Notes:
It should be very easy to get achieve the points for your refund. Our goal is refund all of the deposits!

This weekend we have the following needs:
1 - Silent Auction, we are looking for folks to help man the tables for an hour or so each.
2 - Hopping Penguins, we are looking for folks to man the door to take and sell tickets.
3 - Slingshot, we need 3 people to help with the s'more pit and 6 to help with the bbq lunch.
4 - 50/50 Draw - this is back after a 3 year hiatus and will take place every sunday. We ask that one family walk around the lodge and sell tickets over the lunch hour period. (Families with really cute kids are especially effective at ticket sales!)

- First-year U10 skiers do not have a participation commitment.
- First year families in U12 and up are responsible for half the usual Participation Points for each skier for the family’s first season with the club.
- There is a cap of two athletes per family.Ie – for third and fourth child, total participation points / deposit does not increase.
- 1-day program athletes require half the volunteer credits of 2-day program athletes.
- U8 parents have no volunteer commitment associated with their regsitration fee. However, everyone is encouraged to get invovled.
