1 - This weekend - Brunner Cup
About the Brunner Cup: Roland Brunner came to Nova Scotia in the mid to late 1960's as the Nova Scotia Provincial Ski coach. He was enticed here by Kell Antoft who was very involved with Alpine Ski Nova Scotia at that time. It was Kell and Roland who developed the Nancy Green Ski League in Canada, which went on to be the foundation of many great Canadian skiers, and inspired participation in ski racing for youth across Canada. The skill levels that Roland and Kell developed are still used in ski programs today. Roland enjoyed coaching in Nova Scotia but he would go home to his native Switzerland for the summers, he lost his life in a cycling accident near his home. A short while after his death, Kell Antoft, Peter Kunz and Brian Todd purchased the Roland Brunner trophy in his memory for annual competition at Wentworth. I believe it has been raced for since 1970.
· WSRC is hosting the Roland Brunner Cup for U14 and Up Friday - Sunday.
· This event attracts athletes from throughout Atlantic Canada and beyond.

5 - Don't Forget Raffle Tickets
· If you have not yet received your's, they are being mailed this week.
· Draw date is March 25th at our end of season Apres Ski event.
· Drop them off in the red mailbox beside out notice board.
6 - Last Day of Programs (March 26th) U10/U12 Fun Day
· We are going to end on a high note.
· Scavenger hunts, relay races, speeding tickets, etc.
· Anyone interested in helping with this day contact Karen at treasurer@wentwrothracing.com

7 – Easter Camp in MSA – April 11-17
· Our Easter Camp is a way for us to pull the two ends of our season closer together by extending our training into mid-April.
· Spring Training Camp at MSA can help to work on and perfect technical al and tactical skills that they may be better patterned and thus recalled more easily the next time they are revisited on snow in the Fall.
· This is a more cost-effective way than summer on-snow training to help keep your athlete skiing skills sharp over the Summer months.
